After use, pack the electric winch and store it in a cool, dry place to avoid moisture and rain. Regularly check the condition of the winch and the wear and tear of the rope, and replace damaged parts in time.
Key points for operating an electric winch include the following aspects:
Wear gloves: Appropriate gloves must be worn during operation to prevent hand injuries. Gloves must not be loose or have loose threads to prevent them from being caught by machine parts or debris.
Check equipment status: Before operation, check the winch for damage, whether the wires are intact, and whether the controller is working properly. Ensure that the winch is securely installed and that there is no looseness in the connection to the vehicle.
Choose a suitable anchor point: In off-road environments, try to find sturdy large trees, large rocks, or specially designed anchor points. If choosing trees as anchor points, use tree straps to wrap the trees to avoid damaging the bark.
Operating procedures:
Release the winch clutch (move the lever to the OUT position), pull out the steel cable, and ensure that at least four turns of steel cable remain on the winch drum to prevent slippage.
Engage the clutch (move the lever to the IN position), plug in the operating handle connector, and operate the winch according to the handle button instructions.
During operation, increase or decrease the force slowly and steadily, avoiding sudden forceful operations.
Rope protection: Avoid abrasion between the winch rope and stones; use a rope protector if necessary. Wear thick gloves when operating the cable to prevent burns or abrasions.
Safety precautions:
Ensure that surrounding personnel are in a safe area to avoid accidental injury during winch operation.
Do not overload the electric winch to avoid irreparable damage. Before and after use, check the looseness of the winch mounting bolts, the wear of the winch cable, etc.
Do not use if equipment malfunctions; a short circuit in the remote control wire may cause the winch to operate unexpectedly.
The winch must not be used to lift or move people or objects; no one other than the operator may approach the winch.
Maintenance: After use, pack the electric winch and store it in a cool, dry place to avoid moisture and rain. Regularly check the condition of the winch and the wear of the rope, and replace damaged parts in a timely manner.
